To-Do: Online Or On Paper?

I’ve tried many computerized systems. Before we had Online (as cloud-based) we had computerized one’s that required synching. Before that we had to print out a daily or weekly task list. Beofre that, we probably carried a Day  Timer or a diary, or even a notepad and pencil.

I’ve tried quite a few.   Microsoft and Lotus spring to mind. In more recent times, I’ve used Remember The Milk, or Google Task List.

I tell you something now though. I’ve taken to scribbling stuff down on paper, with a pencil, and then importing it into Evernote via their PDF function.

Two things here. Firstly, Evernote has excellent OCR. Secondly, even that won’t read a really untidy scrawl, so it gives you the opportunity to give yourself a crash course in tidying up your cursive writing.

Cursive writing?

OK, I know many of you never bothered with that or quite happily forgot it when you left school, but I’ve always done it, and find it the quickest way to write down notes and yes, to-dos.

Anyway, that’s what I do these days. Write with a pencil, and import it into Evernote. Works for me.
