Help Foil The Brain Dead

Spam is all over the place, and it’s even moved onto Twitter.

Social Media “experts” abound.  Get rich quick Marketing schemes.  If you’re on Twitter you know it can be a real pain trying to filter out all this unwanted trash.

Myself, I use Tweet Deck. It’s an Adobe Air application, and it runs on Windows (right up to Windows 7 RC); Mac OS X, and all Major Linux Distros.

Anyway, what you do is this.

Make a search column for the hash—+-+tag or other keyword you’re trying to follow. Then you go to the bottom of the column and click on ‘Filter This Column’  and choose ‘-‘ to set up negative filtering. Then you can exclude all Tweets from a particular user, or containing specific words.
