Want to micro-blog messages with your favorite songs attached, and follow others that like similar music to you?
You need blip.fm
Ok, it’s not exactly a new concept. There’s already Pandora, and Last.FM about, and others besides. What is cool about this service is that you can integrate it with Twitter, Friendfeed, Pownce and Tumblr, and share the links with even more folks. In fact, I found the service from following someone on Friendfeed.
You can give tunes you listen to a ‘thumbs up’ which gives a prop to the blipper. You can add the songs to your own playlist, or you can re-blip tunes yourself. You can also click on the ‘buy now’ link and get a DRM-free digital download from Amazon.
It’s great for finding some new or forgotten tunes, and easy to spend a fun -filled hour or two. Of course, you can simply follow someone else or you own playlist, in another tab, while you surf or work elsewhere.
You can also grab a widget for your own site or blog, so folks can see your latest blips.
