Introducing Snap Shots

I just installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more.
Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your [...]

IE8

Microsoft will release the first beta of Internet Explorer 8 in the first half of 2008 that will have full support for web standards. And the new browser will be known as “Windows Internet Explorer 8?.
OK, I’ll believe it, when I see it. Something from Microsoft that actually adheres to internationally agreed standards that haven’t [...]

Coolness Behind The Scenes

Do you have a self-hosted Wordpress blog like this one? Are you interested in finding out who visits your site, and who takes a RSS feed.
Of course you are! If you not, you’re a sorry ass, and you shouldn’t be blogging. Go away now, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

I am currently undertaking some network housekeeping. The time has come, as it does on all windows machines to re-install one of them. No amount of tinkering about with registry fixes and the [...]

What Is The Point?

What is the point of blogging?
Why Blog?
To make money, to set up links, SEO, increase revenue? Well, perhaps those things will happen, but the main reasons for blogging have to be because you want to blog, because you find blogging fun, because you feel you have something to write that you want to share with [...]

Weather

On A windows machine here, running Firefox, I have the forecastfox plugin installed. It tells me the current temperature outside is 60F.
On another web site, a Wunderground weather plug-in tells me it’s 61F.
On this computer, that I’m typing this on right now, a KDE applet, that pulls the weather from the local NWS station, it’s [...]
